Curing oneself from the condition called acid reflux disorder can be accomplished through the use of natural, healthy methods. I experienced this problem for a long time, taking harmful, expensive PPI drugs (proton inhibitors), which only masked the symptoms. These drugs, not only had myriad side effects, but became ineffective over time. I was forced to find another answer. I wanted to stop myself without using drugs. My doctor was no help. Keep in mind that cooking from scratch, instead of relying on convenience foods, is a better way of good health, generally speaking. It is also nice to understand what you might be really eating. For breakfast, I believe that berry is the better strategy to use. I especially like melon and papaya. For supper I eat more fruit like apples, bananas and, perhaps some almonds, or walnuts. It's easier to eat many little healthy meals throughout the day. I try to get only organic fruits, however, when I will be rushed, I purchase "ready to go" containers of mixed fruit in the food store. Try to avoid pineapple, as I find it hard to digest. How about starters later in the day? Serving vegetables raw may be the ultimate healthy approach to present them. Try creating a beautiful platter of crudité (crew di tay) also known as elegant rabbit food. Serve it with a savory tofu dip. Use cauliflower, broccoli, English cucumbers, radishes, green & yellow zucchinis, Belgium endive, carrot sticks, whole small mushrooms, or whatever appeals to you. Cut the vegetables in bite size pieces for dipping. The Belgium endive is a natural edible scoop for dipping. Just take off the ends and peel off the leaves. Increase the risk for tofu dip by putting one package of soft or silken tofu in the food processor or blender, adding garlic powder, cumin, paprika and chopped chives or parsley for flavor and color. Season with salt & pepper to taste. Give a little pure freshly squeezed lemon juice when the mixture is too thick. Process until smooth and creamy. If you are in a big hurry, premade dips and raw vegetable platters can be found in the produce parts of most supermarkets, but create a concerted effort to consume only organic, when possible.
